( 8 ) ENGLAND 2022 - 2022 saw the eighth ICC T20 World Cup held in Australia. England and Pakistan squared off in the eighth event final. After defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets, England emerged victorious as the 2022 World Champion. During this session, Sam Curran was named Player of the Tournament. W. Hasaranga took the most wickets in this session, while Virat Kohli became the session's top run scorer. By winning this session, England joined West Indies as the only other team in the world to have won this title twice.
