// INDIAN ARMY //
The Indian Army was established 74 years ago on 26 January 1950. Before this the Indian Army was known as the British Army. That means, 128 years ago, on 1 April 1895, the Indian Army was established. At present a total of 1238000 active soldiers and 960000 reserve soldiers are serving in the Indian Army.
Indian Army is the branch of Indian Armed Forces. The Army Headquarters and the Ministry of Defense are located in New Delhi. Army Day is celebrated every year on 15 January.
The main motto of the Army is "Seva Paramo Dharam" i.e. always be ready to serve the country and the general public. And “Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja” is the main march slogan of the army. The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Army. The units and regiments of the Indian Army are divided into different parts and all those regiments have different histories.
Indian Army is mainly divided into 3 parts,
1. Indian Navy-
The main job of the Indian Navy is to protect the maritime borders of India. The Indian Navy was established 411 years ago on 5 September as the East India Marine Company, which was later given the status of Indian Navy on 26 January 1950, 74 years ago.
Some of the operations conducted by the Indian Navy are as follows, {Portuguese-Indian War, Indo-Pak War 1965, Operation Lal Dora, Operation Trident 1971, Operation Flowers Are Blooming, Operation in Somalia, Operation Python Indo-Pak War etc.}
2. Indian Army-
The Indian Army operates on both land and water. Indian army. The Indian Army is the largest wing of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the Commander-in-Chief of the Army. The Indian Army has faced violence in many battles before and after the country's independence. The war history of the Indian Army has always been glorious. Indian Army has never faced defeat. The headquarters of the Indian Army is located in New Delhi. Presently the Chief of Army Staff is "General Manoj Pandey".
The Indian Army was established 128 years ago on 1 April 1895. The Indian Army was established by the East India Company which was later transformed into the British Indian Army. The Indian Army has participated in many wars to maintain peace in the country and protect it from attacks by outside countries, such as -
Major war operations include Operation Vijay, Operation Meghdoot, Operation Surya Asha, Operation Brass Stakes etc.
There are total 1200300 active soldiers and 991000 reserve soldiers in the Indian Army. Indian Army has a total of 4500 battle tanks and 12800 artillery guns, more than 100 missiles and nuclear missiles etc.
3.Indian Air Force -
The Indian Air Force is a part of the Indian Armed Forces. Whose job is to protect India from air security, air war and air attacks.
The Indian Air Force was established on 8 October 1932. Which was known as Royal Indian Air Force. Later, after India became completely independent, its name was changed from Royal Indian Air Force to Indian Air Force.
Indian Air Force played an important role in the Second World War of 1945. The Indian Air Force has a total of 139,600 active servicemen and more than 1,910 fighter, cargo, and rescue aircraft. The headquarters of the Indian Air Force is located in New Delhi. Indian Air Force Day is celebrated every year on 8 October.
In the famous battle fought by the Indian Air Force in the Second World War, Indo-Pak War of 1947, Congo Crisis, Bangladesh Liberation Operation, Indo-Pak War of 1965, Goa Liberation War, India-China War, Kargil War, Operation Pawan, Operation Cactus etc.
The fighter planes owned by the Indian Air Force include Jaguar, MiG 27, Harpy, Sukhoi 30 MK, MiG-29 and 21, Tejas, and Rafale. The Indian Air Force is the backbone of the Indian Armed Forces. The Air Force has played an important role in all the wars fought by India. Today, because of the Indian Air Force, other enemy countries do not have the courage to attack India.
