| 9th Asia Cup Wining Moments |
There were eight teams in the competition. The United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Hong Kong, the teams that placed in the top three in the 2024 ACC Men's Premier Cup, joined the five full members of the Asian Cricket Council Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka who automatically qualified for the competition. India won their ninth championship and kept it after defeating Pakistan by five wickets in the final.
Date & Venue :-
In July 2024, the tournament's dates were announced, with India initially serving as the host nation. However, questions were raised about whether it would be feasible to play matches involving both countries in India after the Pahalgam assault in early 2025 and the ensuing political unrest and military confrontation between India and Pakistan.
ACC head Mohsin Naqvi said at the Asian Cricket Council's annual meeting in Dhaka in July 2025 that the tournament would henceforth take place in the United Arab Emirates, with matches taking place in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Because of its past experience staging prestigious international cricket events in comparable conditions, the United Arab Emirates was chosen as a neutral location.
Playing Format :-
Only teams from countries within the Asian continent can participate in the Asia Cup tournament. There are only eight teams from the entire Asian continent, and all of them have participated in the 2025 tournament.

Field Dispute / Controversy
Against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan crisis in 2025, the event saw a number of issues involving bitter rivals India and Pakistan.
The tournament administrators played a few seconds of "Jalebi Baby" instead of Pakistan's national song before a group stage match, which infuriated the Pakistani spectators.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) rejected a proposal that Pycroft be disqualified from the rest of the competition. The next group stage match between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates was postponed for an hour due to concerns about Pakistan's continued participation in the tournament. However, it finally proceeded after the PCB stated that Pycroft had expressed regret for the "miscommunication" and the ICC confirmed he would remain the match referee.
ICC Take Action Against Kuldeep Yadav, Rauf And Farhan.
Pakistani players Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan were the subject of a complaint from the BCCI to the ICC for their "provocative gestures" during India vs. Pakistan's Super Four match. Rauf's "jet crashing" and "6-0" finger signs while fielding close to the border were taken by Indian media as a symbolic allusion to Pakistan's allegation that it shot down six Indian aircraft during Operation Sindoor. After taking a wicket, Rauf made the same gesture again, according to an NDTV video, suggesting that his actions were not unique to that one instance.

| Celebrating Indian Team |
The Indian media called Farhan's celebration of his half-century earlier in the same match, in which he imitated shooting a weapon with his bat, offensive and disrespectful. Additionally, the PCB filed a complaint against India captain Suryakumar Yadav for allegedly making "political statements" when he pledged his team's victory to the Indian Army and showed support for the victims of the Pahalgam terror assault. Regarding violations of the ICC Cricket Code of Conduct, all three players entered not guilty pleas. Following disciplinary proceedings, Farhan was given a warning while Yadav and Rauf were fined 30% of their match costs by the ICC.
Controversy on Presentation Ceremony
Following India's victory over Pakistan in the final, the presentation ceremony was postponed for over an hour due to the late arrival of the Pakistani team. Additionally, India declined to accept the medals and trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the PCB and president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), who is also Pakistan's interior minister. Almost immediately after Aminul Islam of the ACC handed Pakistani captain Salman Ali Agha the US$75,000 runners-up check, he threw it to the ground, drawing loud applause and jeers from the remaining spectators.
An stalemate resulted from Naqvi's insistence on giving the trophy and medals to the Indian team himself in spite of their protests. Naqvi allegedly took the trophy out of the stadium with it, although India did not receive the medals or trophy during the ceremony. After this, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and his squad raised a "imaginary trophy" in celebration of the victory. He then expressed disapproval of the way the ceremony was conducted and said that his team had been "denied" the chance to raise the trophy.
Devajit Saikia, the secretary of the BCCI, called Naqvi's action of "taking away" the medals and trophy "unsporting" and said that the BCCI will object to his behavior in the November ICC conference. Three days after the final, on October 1, Naqvi reaffirmed his reluctance to handover the trophy to India unless the team came to the ACC headquarters in Dubai to pick it up in person.
